Join us at the library to listen to a story and make a craft based on what we read!
Come our and Play to Grow with Chelsie Young, Child Development Specialist For babies and children, play is their work. Play is how babies learn. In this class, caregivers and their babies will find ways to interact using simple songs, fingerplays, and household materials. Each week, we will review a different area of development - cognitive, communication, social-emotional, and physical development, and how to incorporate play. By stimulating baby’s senses with play we can foster strong relationships with caregivers, more restful sleep, and an overall happier baby. This class will provide parents with information and activities to implement at home while meeting other new parents to become part of a community of mindful caregivers. Babies are welcome in this class!
This cooking program is designed to teach kids about healthful eating. Children will learn how to make nutritional snacks and meals, using fresh garden vegetables as well as healthy alternatives to popular favorites. We will also learn to safely use knives, stove, oven, and blender. Each child will earn a certificate of accomplishment and receive a book of recipes upon completion of the course.
The Village Playbox invites you to join us for the ultimate youth theatre experience! Each student will have the chance to audition (everyone participates), act, and assist with set design, costuming and props. Your child will not only learn what it takes to produce a successful production, but they will learn the value of teamwork while they work together to produce a show of their own! *No Class November 23rd
