Exploring nature in a kayak is a healthy and fun way to enjoy the outdoors. Our course begins with a brief introduction and safety talk from our friendly paddling instructors, who will share their knowledge gained from years of kayaking. They'll outfit you with a personal flotation device (PFD), kayak and paddling equipment, giving you insight on the best ways to set up your boat. Then, you'll receive instruction on a variety of paddling techniques. **Kids under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. This class is also available today from 12:00 to 1:30

Take a community ride to celebrate the 4th! Kids, families and cyclists are encouraged to decorate their bikes, wagons, strollers and scooters patriotically. Bike Up Collingswood will host a short ride starting at Haddon & Zane Avenues, going down Zane, Park and Browning and ending at Browning & Magill where you will enter the park. Once inside the park continue your ride towards the ice cream truck. Tatem Shields American Legion Post 17 will be distributing free ice cream and popsicles & flags in Knight Park starting at 10am near the house inside Knight Park. The course begins on Main St. at the Firehouse and ends at the Wiley Home at Plymouth Ave.

Children up to grade 5 are welcome to ride in the Bike Parade. Bikes can be decorated as long as they are still safely operational, and children should be able to control their bikes well. HELMETS MUST BE WORN.Children may also be pushed in strollers or pulled in wagons, but must be strapped in. Come to Haddonfield to Celebrate 4th of July! We will have activities for children. J Dogs will have a number of activities near the Haddon Ave. intersection with Kings Highway. This includes Mickey's Play Park for toddlers, and a Hippo chow down, a double lane 20 foot slide, a 45 foot obstacle course and a bounce house for older children. This year our fireworks can be viewed from Kings Highway. They will begin around 9.20 p.m. To get warmed up there will be a party on Kings Highway, starting at 6.00 p.m. There will be a lot for families to do. They will be located near Mechanic Street and King's Court. We will also have food trucks, located between Chestnut Street and the High Speed Line.

Discover the beauty of nature at night as you paddle through calm waters under the glow of the summer moon. On this leisurely excursion, you'll paddle comfortable, stable kayaks and get a chance to experience nature up close. After a short paddling demonstration, your experienced guide will lead you on a revealing tour, sharing interesting facts about the area's history and the surrounding landscape. No prior kayaking experience is needed. All necessary paddling equipment is provided.

Full Moon Hike-Experience the refuge in a exciting new way, at night! Enjoy a guided hike under the light of the full moon to visit nocturnal habitats that are home to owls, raccoons, opossums, and other wildlife that emerge after dark. Be there as the "night shift" awakens. Program begins at the Nature Center. Wear comfortable shoes, bug spray recommended. Hike is 1-1.5 miles.
