In this class, students will learn basic puppetering, sewing and sculpture techniques to make their own stop motion puppet short films. Students will design and sew their own character, like a pokemon or legoman, or they can sculpt it. Incorporating sewing and sculpting allows students to explore multiple methods of creating stop motion. The end result is a movie that students can share with friends and family!
Bring your budding scientist to this great dinner and workshop hosted by Mad Science Company. The theme is MOVIE SPECIAL FX. Get a behind-the-scenes glimpse of effects directors use in movies! Children will learn about chemical reactions, polymers, and air pressure as they get a backstage pass to see how special effects are created. Learn about the science behind magic when we make things appear and disappear before your eyes. Give us a standing ovation as we melt our special Styrofoam guest star with a unique chemical. *There is no charge for adult caregivers who wish to attend and they may order off The Pop Shop's ala carte menu.
Sewing is both an invaluable skill and a great way to relax. Beginners and those with prior knowledge are welcome to take part in this sewing course. Classes are small so the instructor will be able to work one on one with each student regardless of skill level. Former students have made everything from doll clothes to quilts.
Celebrate Black History Month with stories and special guests! The Lindenwold High School Step Team will be performing, and we'll be enjoying delicious treats from Ms. SweeTea's in Pine Hill.
