The Katz JCC - Cherry Hill
Starting between 20 and 24 months, all kids can participate in our brilliantly designed program that not only build skills and love for art but also a foundation for learning, academics, social, motor and problem solving skills Projects are designed specifically for 2 year olds. Emphasis is placed on individual exploration, with flexibility built in for varying attention spans that grow over time! Art starters are introduced to a vast array of materials including drawing, painting, printings, modeling, and construction. Learn about early childhood development, how to nurture their creative development as well as ways for developing intrinsically motivated children in addition to all the cool art ideas that you can use at home! All two year olds should start with this class and it’s designed to keep them learning throughout the year. Continue the creative fun at the same time with the same group of friends! Other times available Wednesday and Friday.

Tween Drum Workshop

Is your tween constantly tapping on the furniture? Have they been bugging you about getting a drum set, but your are afraid of the noise, or that you will get stuck with a dusty set in your garage? Well here is a great new course to get the kids skilled and passionate about the rhythmic side of music. In this fun and active percussion ensemble, the students will learn essential snare pad fundamentals with a focus on technique, and musical interaction.
