5 Great Books for Black History Month from Independent Authors

February is Black History month. It is a time to reflect, recognize, and celebrate the accomplishments of African Americans to history. Reading wonderful children’s books written by black authors or about black characters is the perfect way to commemorate the month. And I can think of no better way to honor its intensions that to branch out and read some excellent books published by independent authors.
