Each Sunday is "Family Day" with free pony rides and face painting. The feature event is the Grand Prix. Enjoy shopping in our vendor boutique and watch top level equestrian competition. Horses and riders race against the clock for top prize money while spectators cheer them on.
These simple excursions between Flemington and Ringoes are a great way to relax with the whole family on a lazy summer day. Begin your trip at your choice of Flemington or Ringoes Station. Your train ride is about 25 minutes each way, with a 10-15 minute stop before returning home. At Ringoes, you may use the restrooms, browse the gift shop, and visit the museum car. If you begin your trip at Ringoes on the 3:15 PM train, consider purchasing a Combo Ticket, which includes a round-trip to Flemington AND a ride to Bowne on the "Bowne Station Local"!

Ranger Bob will begin with a short story about preserving dark skies as a sustainable resource and watch a brief video about sensible lighting solutions. Observe Jupiter and other nearby stellar objects through a PowerPoint and then head outside to observe the night sky, including Jupiter, its Galilean Moons, and Saturn.

We will touch upon all mediums we offer in the studio...canvas, ceramics, glass, clay and wood, not in any particular order but we will be working on various projects and different steps of them everyday. Multi tasking is a good skill to learn. With help, each camper will design their project on paper and then create it. We will also fit in one slime, one themed snack depending on allergies in the group, themed music, movies and any other crafts that come our way.
Activities include arts and crafts, dramatics and pretend play, stories, music, snack and outdoor activities. Children ages 2-5 are welcome to join us.

Children will enjoy hands-on baking lessons held in our commercial kitchen, learning fundamental baking skills. All classes includ pizza lunch, drinks, afternoon snack and take home baked goods. Classes arelimited to 8 spots. $65 per day.

Children ages 3-6 and their adult caregivers are invited to join us for a 90-minute nature themed monthly program. Each month our “sprouts” will use their senses to connect to the natural world through nature stories, short hikes, songs and nature crafts. There are many things to eat in the garden in July. We will visit the education plot in the Community Garden and gather some things for a taste test. Children will learn that herbs play an important sensory component of food. We will smell different herbs and decide which have a pleasing smell and which repel us - and bugs too!

Toddlersteps is a parent support group that meets regularly to discuss issues of importance to parents of toddlers. It’s a great place to meet other parents, too! You are welcome to bring your infant to Toddlersteps as well. No registration required and class is FREE! Classes are in Classroom #1 in the HMC Education Center on Rt. 31. (215 Rt. 31, Flemington)

Babysteps is a support group that meets to discuss issues important to new parents. It’s a great place to meet other parents, too! No registration required and class is FREE! Hunterdon County's 42nd Anniversary of Music Under the Stars celebration will feature local talents beginning each Thursday. Vendors will be at Deer Path Park for your enjoyment, but feel free to bring a picnic.The park also offers plenty of room for the entire family to spread out a blanket, have a picnic dinner, hold an impromptu game of frisbee or volleyball, as well as enjoy the playgrounds. Updated information about the concerts, including rain location needs (which at this time are scheduled to be held at Hunterdon Central Regional High School) will be posted.

In this free two-hour workshop, students ages six to eight will learn the basics about how computers work and have fun with hands-on introductory coding activities.
Geppetto creates a puppet out of a magical piece of wood from an enchanted tree. Pinocchio the puppet, goes on a wild adventure as he discovers what it means to be a real boy. Experience the magic of Fireflies! During this family-friendly event you will meander along a self-guided 1.5-mile loop through woodlands and meadows to get a glimpse of fireflies in action. Stop at over 20 activity stations along the way and learn to communicate with fireflies, discover what a glowworm is, learn what it takes to create a home for fireflies in your backyard, and much more! We ask that you please register all individuals in your group in advance to help us prepare for the festival.

Junior Orchid Club, aimed at the budding orchid lover, is a great introduction to the amazing world of orchids and botany. Each session will be filled with instructive discussion and hands-on trainings about all aspects of the orchid world, from dissecting orchid flowers to examining orchid plants for an understanding of sound growing practices. While it may not be practical to be present at every session, a majority should be attended to get value out of the club. Several orchid potting sessions throughout the season will provide students with an orchid to nurture at home.

Come join your community at The Filling Station, managed by the Flemington Community Partnership, offering drink, music and family games! Beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages will be offered. No food will be served onsite this year. Instead, there will be a menu station with details about local restaurant delivery, take-out and reservations. Weather premitting.

Beautiful mermaid Ariel should be a happy girl -- she lives in an enchanted undersea country, her father is a King, and she has the most beautiful singing voice. But she is a passionate, headstrong teenager, and wants what she cannot have -- to live on land. When she falls in love with a handsome human prince, Ariel is more determined than ever to gain a pair of legs. But her only option is to defy her furious father, and bargain for the help of Ursula the Sea Witch, with her voice the price of entry onto dry land. Featuring the rambunctious and persuasive “Under the Sea,” the romantic expectation of “Kiss the Girl,” and that anthem to longing and belonging, “Part of Your World.” *Relaxed Performance on July 14 at 3pm
Experience the magic of Fireflies! During this family-friendly event you will meander along a self-guided 1.5-mile loop through woodlands and meadows to get a glimpse of fireflies in action. Stop at over 20 activity stations along the way and learn to communicate with fireflies, discover what a glowworm is, learn what it takes to create a home for fireflies in your backyard, and much more! We ask that you please register all individuals in your group in advance to help us prepare for the festival.
