Come to Terhune Orchards for a day of family fun on the farm! What better way to celebrate fall than with Pick-Your-Own apples and pumpkins! Enjoy pony rides, pedal tractors, wagon rides, visit the Corn Stalk Maze, Adventure Barn and our barnyard of farm animals. Children can paint their own pumpkin to bring home. Don't worry about lunch, there's lots of homemade farm fresh food available - soup, chili, hot dogs, pies, apple cider donuts, apple cider, and more!
Over 160 fine artists and craftsmen will exhibit using media such as oil paintings, watercolors, pastels, sculpture, jewelry, ceramics, works in wood, wearable art, glass art, photography, and more. This is an outdoor, rain or shine event with children’s art activities, festival food, music, a complimentary shuttle to/from downtown and paid onsite parking.
All activities are open on weekends, including hayrides, farm tours to see the animals, u-pick pumpkin right from our pumpkin patch, the 5 acre “15 Year” corn maze, pony rides, kids bale maze, our food stand – proudly serving our home grown hamburgers & more.

Reading Buddies is a six week program that gives older students and beginning readers the opportunity to share the fun of reading. Little and Big Reading Buddies are paired together, and meet 30 minutes per week for a six week session. Each session includes buddy reading and a litera- cy related activity such as a game or craft. Parent or guardians of the Little Buddy must stay in the library during the program. Little Buddies are entering grades 1-4. Big Buddies are entering grades 5-12.

We are proud to announce that Prestige Dance Academy will now be offering a "Mommy & Me" class on Tuesdays this fall!!! The class is for toddlers and parent or caretakers dancing together while focusing on rhythm, movement, music and fun! Learn dance moves for home while developing healthy toddler bodies and coordination! Classes are 45 minutes long and cost $55/month or $150/3 Months! Read & Pick is an innovative program that combines picking with your young child and listening to a story highlighting that crop. Parents and young children (ages preschool to 8 years) are welcome to celebrate everything wonderful about gourds and pumpkins. We will be reading two books about pumpkins. Then everyone will pick his or her own decorative mini-pumpkins and gourds.

Developmental classes are structured to give young athletes a positive and high level environment, to further their education in the sport. At this level players being to develop individual strengths and weakness', which our trained coaches will be able to target and enhance throughout each session. The Center for Nutrition and Diabetes Management, Hunterdon Pediatric Associates and the Hunterdon Health and Wellness Centers are offering, “Weigh to Go,” a 4-week weight management program for kids ages 10 to 14 and their parents. Weigh to Go will be held Wednesdays beginning September 12th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The class will discuss nutrition from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and an exercise class will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The program will meet at the Hunterdon Health and Wellness Center, 537 US 22, Whitehouse Station, NJ. The fee for the program is $95, which also includes a free 2-month membership to the Hunterdon Health and Wellness Centers. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent when exercising at the Wellness Centers.

Every Thursday this Fall, families meet outdoors to connect and learn through play. In a 5-part class each week, Tinkergarten Leader, Cait Csiszer, will facilitate an expert-designed play scenario, allowing children of various ages and needs to explore, problem solve, communicate, collaborate, and create together. Parents and caregivers learn, too, as we’ll share insight into your child’s development.
The program progresses to meet each child’s needs season after season. This fall, the curriculum for 18 months-5 years will support the development of a range of cognitive, social/emotional and physical skills. Our focus skill for the season will be problem solving.
Classes meet the first and third Thursdays from 10:30-12noon. Babysteps is a parent support group that meets regularly to discuss baby and parent related issues. It’s a great place to meet other parents, too! No registration required and class is FREE! BRING YOUR BABY! Classes are held in Classroom #1 in the HMC Education Center on Rt. 31 (215 Route 31 Flemington)

We're different after dark. Lasers, music and blacklight transform the whole park into a crazy jumping dance club. Waivers are required for all persons entering the park during Glow.
The adults don’t get to have all the fun! Our kids program is action packed and a lot of fun. Every session includes a warm-up, skill session, games, and a WOD (“workout of the day”). Classes are structured to give the athlete progressive training in gymnastics and strength training. Our goal is to build physical and mental strength, leadership skills, teamwork, and gain confidence that will translate into other avenues of their lives.

Put on a doctor’s lab coat, pick up a stethoscope, and perform check-ups on toys at LSC’s newest exhibit for young learners, Doc McStuffins: The Exhibit! Join us for the opening weekend, Oct. 6 – 8. Based on Disney Junior’s award-winning TV series Doc McStuffins, the exhibit transports kids and families from Liberty Science Center to Doc’s backyard clinic and the McStuffins Toy Hospital. There, families are invited to help Doc perform check-ups in the ER, groom toy pets at the Pet Vet, feed baby toys in the nursery, and so much more.
Through imaginative play and hands-on activities, kids will learn important life lessons about health and wellness. There is so much you can do to take care of you! Take note of our special holiday hours the weekend of Oct. 6 – 8: LSC is open from 9:00 am – 7:30 pm all three days!

Mindfulness and Yoga have become buzz words in schools and wellness communities, but what makes these two modalities so wonderful for kids and teens? Come learn from Stefanie Lachenauer, certified MBSR-T instructor and certified yoga teacher about the benefits of mindfulness for our youth. Stefanie will lead you through some sample exercises and share some of the classes she will be offering at Hillsborough Chess Academy.

Aromatherapy jewelry is a wonderful and simple way to carry your favorite essential oils with you. Using memory wire, lava beads, rubber tubing, gemstones and metal beads you will craft your own wrap bracelet. A basic pattern will be followed for simplicity and you can choose your own colors and beads to express your creative self. No jewelry making experience is necessary and as an added bonus, we will teach about some of the oils and will be happy to answer aromatherapy questions during the class!
