Put on a doctor’s lab coat, pick up a stethoscope, and perform check-ups on toys at LSC’s newest exhibit for young learners, Doc McStuffins: The Exhibit! Join us for the opening weekend, Oct. 6 – 8. Based on Disney Junior’s award-winning TV series Doc McStuffins, the exhibit transports kids and families from Liberty Science Center to Doc’s backyard clinic and the McStuffins Toy Hospital. There, families are invited to help Doc perform check-ups in the ER, groom toy pets at the Pet Vet, feed baby toys in the nursery, and so much more.
Through imaginative play and hands-on activities, kids will learn important life lessons about health and wellness. There is so much you can do to take care of you! Take note of our special holiday hours the weekend of Oct. 6 – 8: LSC is open from 9:00 am – 7:30 pm all three days!

Spend one Sunday afternoon per month with a Duke Farms Educator learning all about the wonders of nature. Each Junior Naturalist (accompanied by an adult) will explore our habitats in every season and learn about a different nature topic each month. Part of each program is spent indoors learning about the topic of the month. Then we go outdoors to explore nature in the field. Appropriate shoes are required and this program will run rain or shine, so please dress for the weather!
Join us as we turn these ordinary birdhouses into Spooky Haunted House Centerpieces. The children will be selecting their favorite style of birdhouse to paint and design before creating their centerpiece in the studio this afternoon. They can incorporate glittery pumpkins, painted pinecones, stickers, spiders, and more before enhancing their centerpiece with spiderwebs. Space will be limited to 6 - 8 children in this session so register early. This session is recommended for children that are 6 to 12 years old. Pizza, juice, and water will be provided for the children during the session while they are busily working on their project. We will also leave some time at the end of the session for the children to visit with the animals. During the registration process, please indicate the name and age of your child. We will also be holding after school sessions on Monday, October 8th or Monday, October 15th from 4:15 - 6:15pm.

The children will be exploring acrylic painting, watercolors, pastels, glass painting, garden slates, wood signs, drawing lessons, and more in a safe, FUN, and relaxed environment.

Developmental classes are structured to give young athletes a positive and high level environment, to further their education in the sport. Every Thursday this Fall, families meet outdoors to connect and learn through play. In a 5-part class each week, Tinkergarten Leader, Cait Csiszer, will facilitate an expert-designed play scenario, allowing children of various ages and needs to explore, problem solve, communicate, collaborate, and create together. Parents and caregivers learn, too, as we’ll share insight into your child’s development.
The program progresses to meet each child’s needs season after season. This fall, the curriculum for 18 months-5 years will support the development of a range of cognitive, social/emotional and physical skills. Our focus skill for the season will be problem solving.
Toddlersteps is a parent support group that meets regularly to discuss issues of importance to parents of toddlers. It’s a great place to meet other parents, too! You are welcome to bring your infant to Toddlersteps as well. No registration required and class is FREE! Classes are in Classroom #1 in the HMC Education Center on Rt. 31. (215 Rt. 31, Flemington). No class on November 22nd.

The adults don’t get to have all the fun! Our kids program is action packed and a lot of fun. Every session includes a warm-up, skill session, games, and a WOD (“workout of the day”). Classes are structured to give the athlete progressive training in gymnastics and strength training. Our goal is to build physical and mental strength, leadership skills, teamwork, and gain confidence that will translate into other avenues of their lives.

Hunterdon Healthcare and HealthQuest of Hunterdon will be hosting a Health and Fitness Fair on Saturday, October 13th from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at HealthQuest. The event is free and open to the community. Attendees can enjoy a free workout during the fair. They can also enjoy fitness classes such as BodyJam, BodyPump, yoga, Zumba and more. The Pilates Studio at HealthQuest is celebrating 10 years and will be offering reformer and tower demos at 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Children will enjoy face painting, see and learn anatomy exhibit, Mad Science slime demonstration from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. and a visit by Batman from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Hunterdon Healthcare will be offering free flu shots to the first 100 people. No appointments necessary.

Join us for the kid-friendly version of our Haunted Village, featuring all the fun without the frights. Includes a tour of our Haunted Village attraction with a special guide, hayride, face painting, seasonal goodies and more. Children are welcome and encouraged to come in costume.
Please note: while this special version of the Haunted Village is toned down for kids, there are still some moments of dark lighting and some sounds inside the buildings and Halloween decorations are visible throughout the grounds. Music and other special affects are turned off and there are no actors to jump out and startle you.
Admission is $10 per participant, free for children under age 2. Tickets are available for purchase at the door ONLY, there is no online presale for Happy Haunts.
Come to Terhune Orchards for a day of family fun on the farm! What better way to celebrate fall than with Pick-Your-Own apples and pumpkins! Enjoy pony rides, pedal tractors, wagon rides, visit the Corn Stalk Maze, Adventure Barn and our barnyard of farm animals. Children can paint their own pumpkin to bring home. Don't worry about lunch, there's lots of homemade farm fresh food available - soup, chili, hot dogs, pies, apple cider donuts, apple cider, and more!
All activities are open on weekends, including hayrides, farm tours to see the animals, u-pick pumpkin right from our pumpkin patch, the 5 acre “15 Year” corn maze, pony rides, kids bale maze, our food stand – proudly serving our home grown hamburgers & more.

Based on a Halloween cartoon favorite, your kids will trick or treat through Music Mountain Theatre where they will meet many of their favorite fairy tale and cartoon characters. The journey starts with a visit from the Great Pumpkin himself and a fun show with songs, funny skits and a costume contest. So come early in costume to and join in on all the fun! Join us at our 10th Annual PrincetonKIDS Family Fun Day, sponsored by Gymland "Home of Arena Gymnastics", on Saturday, October 13th, 2018 from 11am - 4pm at Quaker Bridge Mall. It's going to be a day filled with Family Fun including live entertainment at Center Court, vendor tables with children's crafts and activities, balloon twisting, face painting and more!
Enjoy 4 miles of our maze with 2 miles of paths, bridge, tower and music; a maze game with gameboard, hidden clues, time clocks and flags; a courtyard with pumpkin patch, hayrides, food tent, kids' haybale maze and more.
Open workout for kids to practice their gymnastics routines or learn new skills. No pre-registration required.

Drop the kids off and take a night out! SNO is a monthly event from 5:00-9:00 pm, and includes group games, gym time, crafts, pizza, and a movie. The event is for ages 4 and up. It is $20 for members and $24 for non-members.

Enjoy a family-friendly, fall evening sipping our own fresh-pressed apple cider around a cozy campfire while listening to live music. S'mores kits available for purchase. The Hen House (serving hot food and snacks )& ice cream window open until 9 pm. Take a hay wagon ride to our thrilling corn maze and traverse it by flashlight. Hayrides include a stop in the pumpkin patch (pumpkins additional). Group discount of 20% with purchase of 15 or more tickets made with one transaction and credit card. The Railroad is a safe place to enjoy the festive Halloween events, so bring the kids and ride aboard this 45 minute spooky fun Trick or Treat Train Excursion. Children of all ages are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite Halloween costumes, helping to make the train a child friendly scary sight.
Enjoy the ride while participating in the reading of Spookley the Square Pumpkin children’s book combined with fun and cheerful songs. Afterwards, trick or treat around the New Hope train station for more surprises!
Trick or Treat bags, assorted trinkets and candy will be given out onboard as well as at the station!
